I am super pumped about today’s post because we will be diving into some of the interior design of my family’s home in Orlando, Florida. Both of my parents are architects and I love to get inspired by their styles and ideas. And I would love to share my favourite decor pieces with you today!

My mom had our house renovated and elevated the home interior inspired by organic modern style, using materials such as wood, linen, leather and lots of greens. In addition, she added a few statement decor pieces here and there to elevate the interior and add personality to the spaces.

In our living room, the colors and materials chosen let natural light flood in, creating a cozy nook that’s perfect for diving into a good book. Every time I step into our office space and catch sight of the large piece of wood my mom found at an antique market near Orlando, I’m struck by its uniqueness and the statement it makes. It’s like bringing a piece of raw nature right into our home, adding a touch of sophistication and an art gallery vibe to the room. Its modern aesthetic and artistic presence truly elevate the space, making it a focal point that never fails to impress.
Invest in unique art
Adding a personal touch to your home with an art piece that you love is always a go to. This nature-inspired photography set we have captivates all who pass by it. With their rustic charm and naturalistic appeal, these artwork perfectly complement our home’s Organic Modern aesthetic, adding character to our hallway.
Have at least one major light pendant
Adding a statement piece above your dining table can truly elevate the entire room and serve as a focal point for any style. We are opting for materials like raffia and metal to bring a harmonious blend of natural and industrial elements. Mirrors hold a special place in my heart as one of my favourite decor pieces, and my mom’s craftiness truly shines with the stunning creation hanging in our entrance. I love the tribal-inspired vibe enhanced by the delicate white feathers, perfectly complemented by the tropical touch of the raffia border. Not only does it make a bold statement, but it also elevates the ambiance of our front foyer, welcoming guests with its unique charm and artistic flair.

Green, green, green – who doesn’t love the refreshing breath of air that plants bring to any space? To achieve an Organic Modern feel, consider investing in a variety of plants and strategically placing them throughout your home. Whether nestled in corners or showcased as centrepieces, plants enhance the ambiance and infuse your living areas with the soothing presence of nature.

To conclude our series, let’s talk about the modern art panel in our hallway. My mom creatively transformed one of the boiserie areas in our hallway into a stunning art display. Within the space, she curated a captivating piece of minimalistic art wallpaper in black and white. This addition not only adds depth and dimensionality to the hallway but also elevates the entire space, adding a contemporary flair that leaves a lasting impression. The curves and soft edges on the drawing add to the Organic Modern aesthetic of out home.
