This week literally was extra illuminated when I discover the brand Lit Láb Co. On my way back home from a busy day at work, I had the pleasure to meet the brand’s founder Chainika Sachdeva, and be introduced to her exquisite candle and diffuser collection. Introducing you to her: Le Rosé candle
Ladies and gentleman… her! First and foremost, I just want to say that I wish I could transfer to you the scent of this candle. Given that we still don’t have the technical capabilities, I will describe as accurately as I can how I view and sense this beauty. You know Pride and Prejudice from Jane Austen? You got it, that’s the ambience I see this candle in. It’s elegance and romance in one scent.
To start with the look – the wax is beautifully decorated with dried rose petals. It ads charm and grace to the look. It translates visually the scent.
Once you bring this candle close to you and gently smell it, you are faced with a burst of warm and rich scents, carefully selected to enchant anyones’ olfactory glands.
Top notes: peppercorn, grapefruit, and plum
Blending peppercorn, grapefruit, and plum in a candle creates a vibrant and invigorating fragrance. It is complex and fresh. The spiciness of the peppercorn note definitely takes this scent to a top level.
Middle notes: black rose, and cumin
This mix that brings me the mysteriousness of this scent. It is bold, at the same time that is intriguing, alluring and enigmatic. The black rose brings in the sophistication with its rich floral scent, that is blended smoothly with cumin.
Base notes: patchouli, and laddanum
Combining patchouli and labdanum in a candle creates a captivating olfactory experience that blends earthy richness with warm, resinous undertones. It gives a sense of sophistication, warmth, and tranquility
The burn: slow and steady
When lighten up, the wooden wick beautiful burns in an even pattern. This ensures that every ounce of wax is utilised to its fullest potential. This not only prolongs the candle’s lifespan but also enhances the overall experience, allowing you to savour every moment of its captivating fragrance.
The packaging: a nicely crafted experience
To end our journey through the romantic alleys of La Rosé, and to give justice to my Master’s in Packaging Design (😅), I have to talk about the beautifully crafted packaging. The opening of the box adds a lux feel to the candle, and the heavy glass container feels luxurious and beautiful in any home setting.
